Mast guide bearings are similar to single or double row deep groove ball bearings and posses a high load capacity. The outer diameter and the width of the outer ring are designed to cope with the high line of contact radial loads and to withstand severe shock loads. Synthetic rubber moulded steel plate lip seals are used to prevent damage and contamination to the ground races and rolling elements. Mounted on the mast and the carriage, mast guide bearings provide smooth raising and lowering of the fork carriages.
